hi I am interested to add to your research in families in palatine carlow. my great grand father William hennessy and his father Michael hennessy lived there in the mid 1850s. william was a carpenter . he settled into ballymore Eustace Kildare.

In reply to Sarah Hade. Sarah I had done a DNA test on a Hade from Carlow and it was very similar to mine and other Hayde/Hade families from Tipperary, Kildare, Wicklow and Dublin. I might look you up the next time I'm in Dublin. Regards David

Hi there, my name is Sarah Hade and I’m 22 and born in Dublin. Your research and website is so fascinating! I just thought I’d look online about where my surname originates from as it’s not Irish and I came across your website and it’s been brilliant! My grandad, John, was born in Carlow and I saw Murray mentioned on one of your family trees which is his spouse/my granny’s maiden name. My great uncle does extensive research on the Murray family tree and his research mentioned the surname ‘Dowling’ which I also noted in your research. Another, interesting thing which caught my eye was on ancestry about a Mary Nolan who married a Hade. My Grandad’s sister also married a Nolan which is likewise interesting and both were from Carlow. Maybe not related but just interesting to come across! Thanks for providing all this research! We may or may not be related but it would be cool if we all were! Thank you 🙂
