James. I have looked at your tree and the baptisms you have mentioned. There is a chance that Ellen (who married Thomas Carroll in 1833) was born in 1815 to Edmond Head and Ellen Carroll in Ballinure. It’s the only baptism that fits time wise. There are many Carroll families in and around the Ballinure, Killballyherry, Ballyherberry, Coleraine, Cashel area at the time. I am pretty sure that the Hayde family in Mayfield is connected to the Ballinure families but I don’t have the paper records to prove this. I’m relying upon DNA to prove the connections. I have done ancestry as well as familytreeDNA tests. I have done an ancestry family finder test. I will see if I can get any hits with your tree.

David
]]>I found your Hayde Family History site packed with great information.
My Great Great Grandmother Mary Carroll was baptized 23 Dec 1833 in Boherlahan & Dualla RC church records. Her parents are Thomas Carroll and Ellen Hayd of Ballyherberry. Later in Toledo, Ohio she says she is from Colraine Tipperary. She has two sisters: Catherine 1835 Ballyherberry and Margaret 1836 Kill Hill. Both baptized in the same parish.
I believe I have found the parents’ marriage at Cashel RC parish on 14 Feb 1833, though the bride is shown with no first name. Thomas is from Dualla and the Hayd bride is from Mayfield.
How do you see this family fitting in the tree?
I saw your Y DNA analysis. Is there autosomal comparisons that can be made?
We were just in the Cashel and Dualla area and met, first name pronounced Ger Hayde in Cashel who told us about your previous visit. I have a public tree on Ancestry Gunnis family Tree with username Milfordshores.
I would appreciate your comments.
